My wife and I took the kids to see this movie on opening night. I have been heavily anticipating this movie because I loved the first one and I absolutely love most of Michael Bay’s work. My 11 year-old son was even more stoked about seeing this than I was. He has talked about almost nothing else since he saw the teaser trailer a couple of months ago, just about to the point of driving his mom and I nuts.
And he was not disappointed. He left the theater with a big grin on his face and contentment dancing in his eyes.
I, on the other hand, did not have a grin and was not so content.

Overall, the movie was a jumbled mess. Granted the action was good and the fight scenes were pretty tight (the battles in the first movie were better), the plot was mediocre and riddled full of holes. I have to echo ALL of the sentiments of columnist Matt McDaniel listed in the article (clink the link) below.
